From the moment we arrived, Rob, Sharon and Bonnie made us feel really welcome. The building itself is beautifully converted, keeping its historic charm but with all the modern comforts. Goddard's Mead is perfect for a peaceful getaway - we loved exploring Thaxted and the surrounding villages, which are packed with interesting history and lovely sights. The location is spot on for relaxing and discovering Essex. Definitely recommend for anyone wanting a cosy break!

We had a lovely stay at this cosy cottage tucked away on a working farm, but honestly, it’s so private we felt like we had the place to ourselves. The owners, Robert and Sharon, are genuinely charming and welcoming. The space inside is generous, with a well-equipped kitchen and a comfy bed that we didn’t want to leave. The garden is perfect for dogs-completely enclosed-and great for relaxing. There are plenty of walks nearby and Thaxted’s restaurants, like The Star and The Maypole, are worth a visit. We’d definitely stay again!

We really enjoyed staying in this caravan. It’s got a lovely, spacious feel and everything we needed was there. As I’m quite tall, I appreciated the shower being big enough-rare find! The bed was super comfy, slept like a dream. Would book again!

Beautiful caravan very spacious with everything you need. As I'm 6 ft tall the shower was actually big enough for me to use which is unusual and the double bed was very comfortable I had a really good night sleep

We had a fantastic time! The location was perfect, with the bus stop right outside, making it so easy to get around. The caravan was spotless when we arrived, beds all made up, which was a lovely touch. The staff were really friendly too. Honestly, we enjoyed it so much we’ve already booked for next year!

We had such a lovely weekend here! The place was just what we needed, super cosy and perfect for relaxing. Our dogs had a blast in the garden, especially with the underfloor heating - they didn’t want to leave! Luna wagged her tail so much she strained it, but she’s all good now. Definitely planning to come back soon!

We just got back from a week at Goddards Mead and honestly, it was lovely. The cottage had everything we needed and the hosts were so friendly and welcoming. Despite being on a farm, it felt really peaceful and relaxing. Definitely worth a visit!

We needed a quick getaway and found this place, honestly perfect. Lovely comfy stay, with plenty of pubs and eateries nearby. The best part? Miles of fields and trails for the dog-he loved it! Would def return.

We had a lovely stay in this charming spot, tucked away in a quiet, private setting. The owners were so friendly and helpful, always just a short distance if we needed anything but respecting our privacy. The hot tub was a real treat after cycling all day. A heads up though-it's directly under Stansted’s flight path, so there’s quite a bit of aircraft noise. It didn’t bother us after a while, but if you're sensitive, it’s worth knowing. Overall, a great place to unwind!

We recently stayed at this charming little cottage and honestly, it had everything we needed - we didn’t have to bring much at all! The owners, Sharon and Rob, thought of everything, from the well-stocked welcome pack to the little extras for our dogs. The enclosed garden was perfect for dog’s and the hot tub was the highlight. Communication was quick and friendly. Honestly, we left feeling completely relaxed. It’s a lovely spot for a quiet getaway and we’re already planning to come back!

We stayed at Robin Hill Rhyl for a week and honestly, the caravan was spot on. It was spotless, well looked after and had plenty of space, especially since we went for the 8-person model. Perfect for our two teens who each had their own little rooms-cosy but enough room for beds and their stuff! The en-suite in the main bedroom was a real bonus, added a bit of luxury. The cooking facilities did the job, but don’t forget to bring all your usual caravan bits-no washing up liquid, soap, loo roll, or bin bags provided. We weren’t lucky with the weather, as we faced two storms, but surprisingly, the caravan held up really well. We took a dip in the pool twice-just make sure to book your session the day before or early that morning, as spots fill up quick. The slides looked fun, although my daughter did end up with a rash from the chlorine and the changing facilities are a bit limited. We didn’t try the entertainment or food on-site since we were exploring the area, but we’re planning to give it a go next time. The ice cream van coming round was a lovely touch, even if the weather wasn’t great. The area’s undergoing some sea defence work, but it should be lovely come summer!

We didn’t have a huge budget, but wanted a nice break for the family. Hoseasons came through with a comfy caravan at a really good price, making the trip special without breaking the bank!

We had a fantastic stay! The house was super well equipped and kept us really warm, which was perfect given the rainy December weather. The bath was just lovely and the shower was spacious - definitely a highlight. The location is great for dogs, especially since it’s in the middle of nowhere and fireworks didn’t bother them at all. Thanks so much for a lovely break!
Craig
This site is great the caravans are very clean and it has everything on site only downside is we didn't know you had to book swimming in advance but no big deal we went there for our honeymoon and have booked to go back next July can't wait
Trevor
Great place very close to shops and beach caravan camp very nice caravans new clean and tidy A1
Matthew
Holiday was great, not many places to get food from if you leave it a little late, pool closes early which is a shame but other than that, great facilities, would definitely go there again
John
Well my kids had fun the swimming pool was fantastic,my only fault was the table top fridge for a family of 8 .
Jessica
Amazing holiday site, little girls loved it
