We stayed from Monday to Friday and honestly, I was a bit nervous after reading some reviews. But the reception team was so friendly and helpful, especially when I wanted to switch from log heating to central heating. The cabin was spotless and had a stunning view. Definitely recommend and we’ll be coming back for sure! Thanks a lot!

We really enjoyed our stay at the lodge. The beds were super cosy and the shower was fantastic! Plenty of space for everyone. Only downside was the noisy pipes at night, so we switched off the boiler.

We had such a lovely time! The place is really relaxing and there was loads for the kids-badminton, table tennis, pool, you name it. Only gripe was the check-in time at 5pm, felt a bit late. Apart from that, we’re definitely coming back soon! Would recommend to everyone.

We loved our stay! The forest setting was so peaceful and there was plenty to keep us busy. Highly recommend!

We had a nice stay overall and would return. The linen and towels were spotless, which was great. The floors and surfaces could’ve been a bit more tidy, especially considering the current climate, but it’s not a huge deal. We did a quick clean ourselves when we arrived to feel more comfortable. Definitely worth it!

We came back to Sherwood Castle after just a month because we loved it so much. The peaceful surroundings, with lodges nestled in the woods, really help us unwind. Such a lovely spot!

We loved the rustic feel, it really felt like a proper log cabin getaway. Everything was spotless and working perfectly, making it super cosy and charming overall.

We really enjoyed our stay! The cabin had all the essentials, from pots and pans to crockery, making everything easy. If I had to suggest anything, adding a small gate on the deck would be perfect so our dogs can relax without us worrying. Lovely place!

We had such a chilled holiday here! The park was spotless and peaceful. Definitely check out Rufford Abbey and Sherwood Forest, they’re absolutely worth it!

We decided to have a quick last-minute getaway with the dog and this place turned out to be a lovely surprise! The hot tub was a great bonus we weren’t expecting at all. When we arrived, everything was spotless and ready to go, which made settling in so easy. The surrounding area is perfect for walking-Rufford Abbey was a highlight and we even spotted some deer close to the lodge. The staff were super friendly and made sure the hot tub was checked daily. Sadly, our dog picked up harvest mites, which made her quite unwell, but that’s just bad luck and not the fault of the accommodation. Just a heads up to other dog owners to keep an eye out for them at this time of year!

We had such a relaxing break here! The lodge was spotless and cosy and the hot tub was a real treat. We didn’t bother with the site facilities, just used it as a base for exploring. Can’t wait to come back next year!

We loved the cosy vibe of the lodge! The outdoor area was perfect for the dogs and kids and the log burner kept us warm all weekend.

The cabin was really tidy and roomy, perfect for what we needed. One thing that would help is a gated entrance outside for pets-ours stayed put, but some others didn’t, which was a bit worrying.

We’d definitely tell family and friends about it. The place offers good value and plenty to do, but it’s also really chill.

We had a lovely stay at the lodge. It was spotless, well-equipped and comfortable. The only tiny gripe was the living space feeling a bit snug with the dog and two kids, but overall, it was perfect for our trip!

We had a lovely stay with our dog and partner! The scenery was quite stunning and being close to Sherwood Forest and Rufford Abbey made for perfect walks. The resort had plenty of facilities and it was great that we could bring the dog inside to play a few games of pool. It really was a nice escape, especially at such a good price. We’d definitely come back again, no doubt about it!

Great stay overall, but a bit more tech wouldn't hurt.

We loved the chalet! It’s super spacious and in a pretty spot. Everything was spotless, though the wooden floors and beds creaked a bit. Still, perfect overall!

We had a fantastic stay with four generations, from tiny 4-year-olds to a 93-year-old, plus our dog. Both lodges, Forester 4 Pet 44 and 45, were spotless and spacious, with private hot tubs and secure gates on the decking to keep the dog safe. We loved visiting the animals, swimming, playing tennis and exploring the woods around the site. The outdoor areas were great for the kids and staff were always friendly and helpful. The only extra cost was for icecreams - a lovely touch!

The place was really lovely-spotless, comfy and perfect for families with dogs. The structure was solid and the facilities were well thought out. We honestly couldn’t ask for more!

The lodge felt a bit old-fashioned, but it was super clean and comfy. The bathroom definitely needs a revamp, especially the shower area. Still, pleasant stay overall!
Wendy
Lovely chilled out few days, location is superb with little parks dotted about in the woods. Kids really enjoyed having the pool to themselves as booked 30 minute slots. Will definitely be returning ?
Michael
Great little holiday park in nice surroundings. Lots of outdoors paths trails and parks. Lodge was generally ok. There was signs of damp and lack of high level cleaning (cob webs) in lodges and customer areas which could be improved.
Emma
Spent a long weekend here and totally enjoyed it. Would recommend
Helen
This is our 4th time staying here and we love it! The lodges are quite basic but in a fantastic location.
Sharon
The cabin was lovely and clean the cleanest I ever stayed in the location was good will go back next year
Anzella
Nice place to stay for holidays.

We really enjoyed our holiday at Sherwood castle and would recommend it to any young family. The site has great facilities including the pool and tennis courts although some of the outdoor activities has taken a beaten due to COVID. The lodges themselves are well acceptable for the price and I believe are due to be revamped over the next year. The site is centrally located with numerous towns and cities all within an hour's drive. Also Sherwood pines and the Sherwood forest visitor centre are less than 10 minutes away. The best part of Sherwood Castle is the staff. They are genuine nice people who have great knowledge of the area and help a lot. I would recommend this site.
Hazel
Lovely little holiday park with lots of activities for all of the family.
