Visitor Reviews of Beacon Fell View

Date of stay: 16th March 2025
Really enjoyed the stay overall
James
Date of stay: 3rd November 2024
The lodge was cosy but smart, with all the essentials you’d need. The bed was really comfy and made for a good sleep. We only stayed four nights but felt like we could’ve easily stayed longer. Definitely coming back!

Terrible experience, the place was dirty and damaged.

Very relaxing and cosy stay

Great stay, we'll definitely return soon!

The place needs more crockery and cutlery for the size it sleeps, honestly. Found dirty dishes that I had to wash myself, plus rubbish like tissues under the beds. Definitely not impressed with cleanliness.

The caravan was really disappointing, honestly. Carpets looked filthy, plates were dirty and cobwebs everywhere-needs a good scrub.

We stayed here for our daughter’s wedding nearby and honestly, it had its ups and downs. The place was comfy enough and with the weather being a bit grim, the heating was a real lifesaver-especially for my parents in their 80s. The staff were genuinely friendly and helpful, which made a difference. That said, the cottage did lack a few basics-no toilet roll, no mirror and the bathroom bin wasn’t emptied, which was a bit disappointing. Also, no safety rails on the stairs and not a full set of crockery. Still, we appreciated the warm welcome!

The crockery situation was a bit tight for just three of us and clear instructions on how to operate the central heating would’ve been useful. Not ideal!

Great caravan, very new and spotless!

We booked this park mainly for the kids' club and the swimming pool for our grandkids. Unfortunately, arriving late on Friday night around 5/6, the reception was closed, so we had to go to the bar to check in, which was a bit annoying. The caravan was not very clean - found meds under the bed, dirty wash and some old clothes in the cupboard. There were also dirt packets under the sofa in the living room. We complained and they took the meds away, so that was sorted. The kitchen equipment was quite limited - no small knives, vegetable peeler, or decent saucepans, which made cooking for a family tricky. The swimming pool was only open briefly, just private access and the bar was way too expensive. We weren’t leaving until Monday, but on Friday we were told the kids' club and play area were shut until the end of the season, even though the website says 17th November. Plus, it looked like they were setting up for some private neon party? The kids' play area definitely needs some attention - it’s a bit dangerous and not cleaned daily. It’s a shame really, could be better.

We booked the site expecting a pool, but there was no pool available at all during our three-day stay. Very disappointing, honestly.

We had a lovely stay and definitely plan to return. Being pet friendly was a real plus and it’s the perfect spot for some peace and quiet. Wifi was a bit rubbish, though!

We stayed in the caravan and honestly, it was pretty basic for what we paid. It was clean, which was good, but it didn’t look anything like the pictures online. The weather was scorching, but there were no chairs outside to relax in the sun, which was a shame. The shop was quite sparse and apart from mini golf and an indoor pool, there wasn’t much else to do.

We had a pretty decent stay overall. The staff were friendly, which was great for our little one and the campsite itself was lovely. The caravan was comfortable, just what we needed. Only thing was, some staff seemed a bit untrained - couldn’t even get a hot drink because they didn’t know how, yet managers were drinking theirs. The pool was closed briefly and the toilets could’ve been cleaner, but it’s a decent spot for families.

We splurged on a new lodge this time and it really paid off! Gorgeous spot right at the front, couldn’t ask for better.

We faced trouble opening the balcony door and reported it, but nobody came to fix it. The pots supplied are tiny for a family of six, not even medium-sized. Quite disappointing, really.

We stayed at this cottage recently and it was pretty nice overall. A few small things could make all the difference, like some door mats inside, a tin opener and a tiny measuring jug would’ve been handy. We also missed having some basic cleaning tools like a broom, dustpan and mop. The hot tub was a lovely touch once it was sorted, though the window handles could do with some attention. Still, we enjoyed our short break!

The caravans are super tidy and spacious, really impressed! Only downside is limited cutlery.

The caravan was spotless and in a lovely spot, though the beds weren’t the most comfy. Still, nice stay!

We had such a lovely stay! The staff were genuinely friendly and always ready to help. The park’s perfect for pets and we can’t wait to come back with the family and our dog!

The beds were super cosy and the linen felt really luxurious. The kitchen was well-stocked with everything we needed, though a few glasses and cutlery could’ve been cleaner. Still, overall great stay!

We really enjoyed our stay! The caravan was lovely-cozy, warm and spotless. Staff were super helpful throughout. My only little complaint is that there was no toilet paper in the bathroom when we arrived, which was a bit annoying.

The caravan was quite a bit smaller than shown in the photos, but perfect for us two. Cheers!
Isobel
From arriving to leaving we had a great stay and there was so many lovely places to visit round about
Lisa
Great little park. Booked another break 2 weeks later!
Christian
Fantastic !!
Daniel
Caravan's are a little tired and need a little TLC, but it was perfect for our requirements. Entertainment was fantastic and the swimming pool (although restricted to 1hr per day) was great
