Was surprised there were no tea towels, cleaning products etc or a hoover so we could keep the van clean whilst we were there. Also, pans for cooking were of a very poor quality so scorched after a single use

Caravan was lovely. Had everything we needed, was clean and tidy and someone had been in and put the heating on for us arriving. We had to be out for a couple of hours in the middle of our stay as the caravan was getting new carpets. This was no hassle for us and was good to know the caravans are being looked after.

We were first given the key to a caravan that still had someone in it, then we were given the Keyes to a 2 bed when I paid for a 3 bed. The staff were great and we got the right caravan and it was perfect thank you

Date of stay: 14th April 2017
1) Caravan - 6 berth but we did not have enough dishes etc for 6 people i.e 3 plates, bowls etc and could not really cook properly as only 1 pan

2) On the first day we reported that the smoke alarm in the caravan did not have a battery, this was not rectified during our visit despite reporting a second time

other wise a lovely place to stay

Celia, Warrington
Date of stay: 20th July 2015
Spacious for what I needed. There were two toilets! There was an ensuite to the double bedroom and a main bathroom which had a nice shower which was a decent size too. It was a caravan that allowed pets so I wasn't too surprised that the upholstery was a little worn in places but it was clean / fresh smelling.
Laura, Ayrshire

Date of stay: 23rd August 2014
We had a great time at Beacon Fell View. We had a family holiday here (kids are 20, 18 & 13). We used it as a central base to visit many surrounding areas and cities. We didn't use the facilities as we were out all day and came back to the caravan late on some nights. We would definitely use again if we were going up north again.
Emma, Cumbria
Date of stay: 15th August 2014
The caravan was lovely and the kids really enjoyed it but we didnt think the facilities were good enough to warrant staying on site during the day ! It made it really expensive having to leave the site everday :( kids entertainment at night made the holiday :)
Debbie, Edinburgh
Date of stay: 11th August 2014
Couldn't fault the caravan but facilities at site were minimal. The shop didn't even sell fresh milk and bread. Then there's not even a bar meal available, no family eating facilities on site. Rubbish if u want break from self catering and not travel outwith! Prices at bar were quite steep for club house, and had limited stock! In peak season this is rubbish. Amusement arcade were either broken or rip off! It's a shame as it's great location for blakpool and accommodation was great, it's just the lack of good affordable entertainment and meal facilities let it down
Mark, Derbyshire
Date of stay: 23rd June 2014

Jennifer, Otley
Date of stay: 17th March 2014
The site is very tired and rundown. It is also unkept and needs a good tidy up, lick of piant and some flowers or shrubs putting in. Many of the vans privately owned are dated and in need of a good wash and updating. The park and crazy golf need updating too. This aside the staff are so helpful and friendly, the pool is great, entertainment is brill and inside all facilities ae spotlessly clean. Our van was brand new and spotlessly clean and warm for our arrival. For the cost and the positives and negatives it is very good value for money.
Samantha
Me & my partner came for a long weekend, So peaceful! Stayed in a Ribchester gold which was lovely! Has everything you need within the park even a little shop with essentials in. Staff we’re lovely & very helpful. Already looking at rebooking
Sylvia
Staff really helpful very nice but the caravan had lotes of space but no were to hang clothes only three small wardrobes no kitchen bin only waist basket and its ment to sleep 8 people
Kevin
Having read some of the previous reviews I almost didnt book Beacon Fell as they were quite negative, however we found it to be fantastic. The facilities and activities were great the location was stunning. Staff were great especially Rob, Jamie and Phoebe on the entertainments team. Caravan was lovely and perfectly located for the facilities. If you are reading this review then book it! I would thoroughly recommend Beacon Fell for a holiday, we had a great time, kids loved it and we will definitely be back in the future.
Donald

Fun Days Out near Beacon Fell View

about 5 Miles
Head for the Bowland Wild Boar park and we don't think you will be disappointed.  A popular attraction in Preston there is so much to do for the whole family.  From picnics, walks and wildlife to experiencing feeding the animals you are sure to have a memorable day out.  Also popular is the kids tractor play area.  For rest and relaxation the cafe is ideal serving hot drinks and snacks with a lovely view over the pond and wildlife feeding station.  The Forest of Bowland has been declared an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
about 19 Miles
Happy Mount Park has attractions for the whole family including several play areas, a miniature railway, crazy golf, putting green and trampolines, there is also a paddling pool where the little ones can splash around in the summer and a café where the adults can relax with a drink. During the summer months and especially during school holidays live music can often be enjoyed.
about 25 Miles
Here at the Wildlife Oasis you can really get up close to the animals and experience a mix of exotic wildlife and hand son displays.  See butterflies, birds and even bats flying around.  You don't have to plan your visit according to weather either with the tropical hall and butterfly house undercover.  Sunny days are ideal for some of the inhabitants however with the monkeys and Lemurs loving to sunbathe.  The mission of Lakeland's Wildlife Oasis is to engender and foster an interest and appreciation of the natural world which, in our belief underpins wildlife conservation; and, where possible to contribute and encourage contribution to the conservation of wildlife and wild places.  You know that you are helping with this mission if you choose to visit.

Located in the Milnthorpe area of Cumbria we love this local attraction.  With an eclectic mix of fascinating wildlife and hands on displays this centre is educational as well as fun.  You can wander around at leisure admiring the exhibits which range from chameleons to computers. Some of the most threatened species are kept at the park as part if international breeding programmes.  Check out their website for the latest opening times and admission costs which are great value for money.  There are discounts for pre-booked parties of 12 or more.
about 29 Miles
This is a very popular theme park with three different locations.  The theme park in Warrington contains not only the theme park but also Gullivers Splash Zone and Gullivers Star Studios.  The Solash Zone is a fully heated indoor water play factory fun for all ages which will appeal on rainy days.  Throughout the year there are seasonal events too such as the Halloween and Fireworks event taking place from 23rd to 31st October.  You can book online to save time and secure your tickets during busy periods.  Over 50% of the rides are actually under cover so you don't need to worry about the British weather spoiling the fun.
about 33 Miles

This is an amazing Cumbria attraction well known locally as well as nationally for how close you can get to the animals.  Described as the most interactive animal park in Europe it's well worth a visit if you are staying in the area.  Open from April to end October some of the highlights are the tigers, penguins, bears, hippos and rhinos.  At 2pm during certain seasons it's feeding time so don't forget to plan your day around this so you can watch the animals enjoying their feed.  Look out for seasonal events such as Halloween Zoo Boo (free entry for kids in fancy dress) and The Magic of Christmas.
