This place was just fantastic! The cabin itself was super cosy, especially with the Christmas tree all decorated, which made it feel extra special. We stayed for our family Christmas weekend and honestly, it couldn’t have been better - 8 en-suite bedrooms, all beautifully decorated and the high-spec finish was impressive. Staff were lovely and the hot tubs with that lovely lake view were a real highlight. We’ve already booked our next visit!

We’ve stayed here before and it’s nice to see how much it’s improved since 2021. The redecoration really freshened things up and the lodge had all the essentials for a comfy stay. The new onsite cafe and bar are a big bonus, making it easy to grab a drink or bite without leaving the park. Plus, it's perfectly placed for trips to Blackpool, but you can also just relax by the lake watching the ducks and swans, which is lovely.

The lodge was spotless and cosy, perfect for relaxing. The location was great for visiting Blackpool easily. We loved the hot tub too! We’re coming back.

Date of stay: 4th January 2024
We recently stayed at this site and honestly, the location was perfect for exploring Blackpool, which was a big plus. The lodge itself looked lovely from the outside, but sadly, the inside was a different story. When we arrived, the fridge smelled terrible and despite us cleaning it thoroughly, the smell just wouldn’t go away - it was gut-wrenching. We avoided using it whenever possible. The cleanliness was also an issue; dust and cobwebs were everywhere, so it seemed like the lodge hadn’t been cleaned properly before we arrived. On the bright side, the lodge’s setting was really nice and the site overall is well situated. There was a hot tub too, but it was a bit of a letdown because there was no shelter over it, so we couldn’t use it during the rain. My partner tried to brave it one morning, but within minutes, it started pouring heavily. All in all, we liked the location, but the smell in that fridge still haunts me! Honestly, if it weren’t for that, we might consider coming back, but that’s a big sticking point.

Lovely spot, really enjoyed our stay.
Ellie
Date of stay: 1st January 2024
Honestly, we quite liked the lodge overall, but there was one thing that really annoyed us. The hot tub has no shelter at all, which was a bit of a pain, especially during the terrible weather we had over Christmas. We only managed to enjoy it three times because of the rain and wind. That was a real shame since relaxing in the hot tub was one of the main reasons we chose this place. A sturdy wooden roof or shelter would make such a difference, especially in bad weather. It’s a simple fix that would really improve things!
Sam and Ellie
Date of stay: 21st December 2023
We stayed in a pretty spacious lodge that looked lovely from the outside and the staff were genuinely friendly and welcoming, which was nice. We arrived late on a Friday night, so we just unpacked and relaxed. However, there was an annoying smell coming from the en-suite, kinda like drains, which wasn’t great but didn’t ruin the trip. The next morning, after breakfast, we decided to try out the hot tub, only to find it half full. We called reception and they promptly sent someone to fill it up, but we were told someone would come around 3pm to check for a leak. No one turned up and we didn’t get a call, so we just waited. By around 3.30pm, it was full and hot enough to use, but honestly, we’d lost interest by then. We’d booked a chilled weekend, but it ended up being a bit of a letdown, mostly just sitting in the caravan. The lodge itself wasn’t the cleanest-dried marshmallow on the table, a big wet stain on the sofa, cobwebs near the fridge and dead flies in the light shades. Such a shame because it looked so nice. We planned for three days but left after two. Not sure I’d go back or recommend it, unfortunately. Hoseasons didn’t really help much either.

Date of stay: 6th November 2023
Despite some dust on the skirting boards and lights and a bit of mould around the bath, we still had a great time at the lodge. It didn’t ruin our stay at all!
Emma Clarke
Date of stay: 5th November 2023
The lodge was super roomy and had a lovely hot tub. Kitchen and bathrooms were really well equipped. Wi-Fi was a nightmare though!
Emma Carter
Date of stay: 1st November 2023
Honestly, we were really disappointed. The place looks abandoned, with peeling paint and overgrown gardens. Inside, the lodge was quite grubby-dust everywhere and cobwebs hanging. Bathrooms smelled terrible, probably due to the septic tank. Not coming back.
Lisa
Date of stay: 12th July 2023
We had a lovely break here! The hot tub was a real highlight, super relaxing. It’s peaceful and quiet, perfect for unwinding. A few more amenities and a bus to Blackpool would be the icing on the cake though. Definitely recommend for a chilled out escape!
James
