Visitor Reviews of Ocean Edge Holiday Park

Emma Carter
Date of stay: 29th September 2024
The sofa felt a bit low, but the caravan was ideal for us and our two small dogs.
Emily
Date of stay: 16th June 2024
Honestly, this was one of the worst places we've stayed in quite a while. The caravan was filthy - food remnants all over the kitchen, including the freezer and floor and ice cream wrappers just casually left in the main bedroom. There were dog biscuits hidden under the toaster and stuffed in the cupboards, plus dog hair everywhere, especially in the bedroom, even though it was labelled as a no-dog caravan because of my daughter's allergies. The sofa was pretty stained with black marks and the outside was no better - rubbish bags left out from previous guests attracted seagulls, which scattered everything everywhere. We woke up to ants crawling all over the cupboards and food, which was a real nightmare; had to throw away all our supplies. There were no bins or cleaning facilities so we couldn't get it sorted ourselves. We also booked activities online, only to find out they’d been cancelled without any notice - reception staff weren’t much help either. The only bright spot was the entertainment team, especially Emma and Jessica, who really tried to make things better for the kids. We definitely wouldn’t recommend or go back.
Emma Clarke
Date of stay: 16th June 2024
Really disappointed. The photos made it look like a lovely sea view, but we just got another caravan. Also, no cleaning tools, loo roll, or toilet brush - quite inconvenient!
Emma Collins
Date of stay: 3rd June 2024
We enjoyed the site and the caravan was lovely, but being so far from the facilities was a bit of a pain. Since we don’t own a car or drive, grabbing groceries was tricky without a taxi. A shop nearby or a bus service would make things much easier for visitors like us.
Emma Carter
Date of stay: 20th May 2024
The caravan was lovely, really comfortable, but missing a couple of egg cups was a bit of a letdown. The beach wasn’t great either-mudflats weren’t ideal for walking the dogs, which was disappointing really.
Emma Carter
Date of stay: 22nd March 2024
The place was super comfy and spotless, with all we needed for a relaxing stay. The pool and sauna were a bonus!
Emma
Date of stay: 17th February 2024
The caravan was freezing and, despite asking, they never sorted it out. Really disappointing.
Emma Hughes
Date of stay: 1st November 2023
We really enjoyed our stay here! The kids had a blast with the great facilities and the evening entertainment was a hit with the little ones. The caravan was comfy enough, though we did notice a few missing kitchen bits like a colander-nothing major, just a little inconvenient. It’s a bit close to the road, so it can get quite noisy at times. We also had a bit of trouble with wasps sneaking in, which was annoying. There isn’t much nearby, but Morcambe is a better spot if you’re after more to do.
Grace Harper
Date of stay: 1st November 2023
Couldn’t believe how dirty it was
Emma
Date of stay: 9th July 2023
The place isn’t quite what we hoped for-no proper beach, just rocks. Entertainment options are pretty limited, so don’t expect much. The harbour buildings nearby really spoil what could be a lovely view, sadly.
Emma
Date of stay: 3rd July 2023
The caravan wasn’t the one we booked, but it was still pretty comfy overall.
Emma Clarke
Date of stay: 27th June 2023
Honestly, I think this place has potential, but it really needs a good tidy up. The fixtures are looking pretty tired, stained and could do with a refresh. The caravans aren't exactly spotless either-maybe the cleaners need a bit more training? We work in quality control ourselves, so I was a bit disappointed considering what we paid. Hopefully someone pays attention to this review and sorts things out!
Emma
Date of stay: 31st May 2023
Great experience, definitely returning!
Emma Roberts
Date of stay: 14th May 2023
Honestly, our experience wasn’t great. The staff in the bar area seemed quite rude, which was disappointing. When we returned from a day out shopping, we found someone had been in our caravan and taken the TV. Because of that, our kids with learning difficulties got really upset, thinking we’d been burgled. They kept crying and we decided to cut our stay short, going home earlier than planned. Also, I ended up doing a lot of cleaning myself and there was coffee stain everywhere. Not what we expected at all.
Emma
Date of stay: 24th April 2023
Overall, we had a lovely stay despite a few issues. The toilet seat was broken, the radiator in the main bedroom leaked and the phone died. The coach was also full of rubbish when we removed the cushions.
Emma, Cheshire
Date of stay: 28th August 2020
We had a really lovely holiday overall. The staff were genuinely helpful and friendly, making us feel welcome all the time. The highlight was definitely the van we were moved to after a missing door on the original; it was fantastic and we’d happily book it again. Lucas in the restaurant was a star-so helpful and Jeanette on reception went above and beyond for us. Sadly, the restaurant food didn’t quite hit the mark, with long waits and cold meals, plus our preordered puddings being out of stock. Still, the security team was super nice, which added to the positive vibe.
Emma, West Midlands
Date of stay: 17th August 2020
We had a lovely break at Overton Lodge, especially since it was our first time bringing the dogs along. It really felt like a home away from home with all the essentials-washer, microwave, hoover, iron and ironing board. Perfect for relaxing outside in the nice weather and safe for the pups too. We’d definitely return!
Michael, Ashington
Date of stay: 14th August 2020

We absolutely loved it! The caravan was really nice and honestly, the bed was the best I've slept in during a holiday.
Emma, Ayrshire
Date of stay: 10th July 2020
Honestly, this was one of the most comfy caravans we've ever stayed in. It’s super clean and well kitted out, with just a few small signs of wear that didn’t bother us at all. The views were absolutely breathtaking - totally worth it!
James, Lincoln
Date of stay: 16th March 2020
Had a fantastic time, will definitely return soon. Thanks a lot!
Harriet, Manchester
Date of stay: 24th February 2020
Really enjoyed the stay, lovely clean caravan and fun activities.
Emma, Bolton
Date of stay: 17th February 2020
We stayed in a very tidy caravan and really appreciated the little extras for the kids-sweets and drinks on arrival, plus some treats on the beds, which was a nice touch. A few kitchen essentials like a bottle opener and scissors were missing, but I’m sure if we’d asked at reception, they’d have sorted us out quickly. Overall, a lovely stay!
James, Clydebank
Date of stay: 8th November 2019
Really enjoyed it, would definitely recommend.

A really lovely spot for everyone, no matter how old you are, we loved it!
Emma, Gb
Date of stay: 25th October 2019
We ended up upgrading our caravan after just one night because of a water boiler problem, but honestly, the new one was much better than we expected. Loved the sweet little touches like chocolates on arrival and the kids’ activity packs-really thoughtful gestures!
PENNY
Perfect site for a perfect holiday we really enjoyed our stay
