Without a doubt this was one of the best holidays we have had as a family. There is just so much to do. This kids never once said they were bored and for our kids this is a big plus point. The caravan was really modern and quite big too, not at all what i was expecting for the price. A really good deal all in all.

The site was really quiet when we went probably as we chose to go during term time. A good choice for us cos we like peace and quiet. Lovely site. bet the outdoor pool is great in summer. Was too cold for us at end of September but the indoor pool made up for it. The area is really nice as well. A few things closed as out of season but we really enjoyed walks along the beach and shopping in Newquay. Would highly recommend the Redwood caravans if you can stretch to them. they seem brand new.

I have been going to hendra from day one when they first opend it up many years ago from a tent to a caravan over 30 years I love the site and all goes well will be there in june 10th 2012

We are due back at Hendra in a couple of weeks and it will be our third time! It's a lovely, lovely site, caravans are spotless and we have never have any problems. Pools are great, entertainment is great for the kids, and every meal we have eaten there has been very nice. Big thumbs up from us!!!!

We had a lovely stay at this charming cottage. The owners are genuinely kind and considerate, making us feel really welcomed. The place itself is beautifully maintained, super clean and cosy, with a lovely strong shower and a comfy bed. Parking right next to the cottage was a real plus and we enjoyed peaceful walks across the fields to Thaxted, with its pretty half-timbered houses and windmill. Definitely recommend for a relaxing getaway!

We honestly think this was the best caravan we've stayed in so far. It felt fresh and spacious, which was great for all six of us. The pitch was stunning - a massive grassy area, probably the biggest one we saw, so we felt very lucky. Bedding was comfy and we all slept well. The only thing missing was a larger drying rack; with swimming and shower towels, it was a bit tricky to dry everything! Overall, we're really pleased.

We stayed at Goddard's Mead recently and really enjoyed our time there. Rob and Sharon have put a lot of effort into lovingly restoring this historic building and it shows. They were so welcoming from the moment we arrived and Bonnie added a lovely touch. The location is perfect for exploring Essex, especially if you like wandering around charming villages like Thaxted. Definitely recommend for a peaceful getaway!

We had such a lovely stay at this cosy little cottage. It’s perfectly remote but still close enough to enjoy local shops and cafes. The hot tub was a real highlight and the underfloor heating kept us super warm. Rob, Sharon and Bonnie made us feel right at home. We’ll be back soon!

We just got back from a lovely four-night stay at this cottage. The owners were really friendly and helpful without being intrusive, which was perfect. The big fenced garden was great for our dog to run around freely. The place had everything we needed in the kitchen and we even used the BBQ one evening. The hot tub was absolutely brilliant! We’d definitely come back and already recommended it to friends. Thanks for a wonderful stay!

We had a great week here from 15 to 22 July with our two mini dachshunds. They loved exploring the village of Thaxted and making new friends. The cottage itself is charming and the hot tub was a real highlight-especially during the scorching days when the cooled water felt so refreshing! The hosts were incredibly welcoming and even took their horses out to the fields daily, which was lovely to see. Being close to Stansted's flight path was interesting; we enjoyed watching the planes land. We’d definitely recommend it!

We stayed in this lovely wide caravan and it really felt spacious. Without carpets in the main areas, it stayed clean even with sandy, wet kids running about!

We had a lovely visit, beautiful location and the facilities were clean and the staff helpful, the only critique I have is that the beds could do with renewing as they were quiet uncomfortable. I would still highly recommend visiting as there was so much to do in and around the park.

We absolutely loved Hendra, can’t wait to return! Caravan was modern and so clean. Both pools were great although it wasn’t warm enough to use outdoor pool. Only ate on site once but heard good things about the fish&chips and pizzas. The food on the terrace was average but portions good. The site is so well maintained and looked after, there is always a man out mowing the grass. The train ride for the kids was lovely and great that it was free. Entertainment was great too, especially the Disney themed night!

I am not usually one for caravan parks as I've always preferred hotels, but I was astonished at the quality and cleanliness for this site. We are a family of 4, 2yr old and 3 month old. The staff were brilliant, engaging every time we passed anyone. Even the staff on the doors were high diving the kids as we went in for the children's entertainment in the evening, was a pleasure to be around. The facilities were spotless and baby changing was easy to get to and also kept to a high standard. The soft play staff were friendly and chatty and you could tell they really love their job. The onsite park for the kids was well maintained and in a safe area so no issues there. We only ate onsite the once at the pizza restaurant, and again, the quality was good and given 10/10 by our very messy toddler. The swimming pool facilities are good too, the changing rooms are a little compact, but not the end of the world. The slides are good for the older kids and there is a heated pool section for the babies.. a nice touch. There is also a train that has the hendra mascot that goes round the campsite every morning at 9 which the kids loved. Everything was thought of and it was a pleasurable experience for the entire week. Very well geared up for the family. There are also plenty of places to visit outside the park, we visited dairyland a few times (10 minute drive) which had plenty of animals/activities and a week long pass available Newquay beaches are easy to get to and there is a land train that does a run in the morning and evening. Would highly recommend.

Lovely site clean staff was ok but not all very sadden to allergies understanding by staff when getting food plus at the pool one member of staff did not understand if your allergic to latex you can't touch it when Insisting you take a swimming bond until in the end I was rude and said Im going to educate you on allergies so you don't make the some mistakes with others

Really enjoyed our stay here. The static was brilliant we didn't stay on site much as Newquay is only 9 mins drive away but we did use the outside pool as it was a really hot week. The kids enjoyed the entertainment on a night and the arcades kept them entertained. Probably would go back as it is a very family oriented site.

Holiday Park was brilliant, lots of entertainment, pools, surrounding areas were perfect lots of places to visit and beautiful beaches. However onsite food at the pizzeria and chip shop were disgusting! Chips were burnt, dry and hard nothing like chip shop chips and the pizza tasted like cardboard. Other than the food the holiday park was fantastic and we had a wonderful week, just don't get their food ?
